Description

The St. Cloud Fire Department helped 10 people escape an apartment fire in the early hours of Sept. 8. At about 3 a.m., the department responded to a call on the 300 block of 7th Avenue South, just east of Lake George, near the St. Cloud State University campus. The fire department used a ladder to help one person off of the fourth floor deck and helped nine others exit the building through smoke-filled corridors. Several residents were treated for minor smoke inhalation.
